The most important thing about getting an autograph by postBy: Sasha21 [4-August-06 2:42PM] 5 posts |
| Hi There!
Have to admit I [blue]haven't[/blue] read the other articles here in detail, BUT the single most important thing you have to do is to include a self, stamped address envelope when writing for an autograph.
If you don't do so, then you are much less likely to get a reply.
Also try and include something personal to that celebrity so it sounds like you put some effort in, and finally including a photo or something you would like signed can sometimes increase chance of getting a success.
Good luck!

Persistence is also important... you often have to try several addresses for a celebrity until you find one that works.
It's weird but you and someone else can write to the same celeb at the same time, and one can hear back a month later whilst you may never hear anything back - or even get a RTS on occasion!!!

Hi
I have managed to obtain autographs from Grace Park, Katee Sackhoff, Angelina Jolie and Sara Michelle Gellar. These 4 took around a year before I recieved them.
Others Elizabeth Hurley, The majority of the actors/Actresses from the TV Film "Rome" and Denise Van Outen, all game within a few weeks.
I have just posted a whole new batch fingers crossed..

It is definitely essential to be patient... some people have said they have heard back from a request literally years afterwards
